Alaska air boarding groups gives its most loyal customers preferential boarding privileges. Mileage Plan™ members with elite status, including MVP, MVP Gold, and MVP Gold 75K, have priority while boarding the aircraft. This priority status means that they board before other passengers, considerably decreasing the stress and turmoil that comes with boarding. First Class passengers board first since they are usually situated at the front of the cabin. First Class passengers are summoned first, followed by elite Mileage Plan™ members. MVP members, who have acquired this status via frequent flying with Alaska Airlines, receive priority boarding in acknowledgment of their loyalty. This helps them to board more easily, reducing their time in the boarding queue.
