HOW TO CARE FOR OLD VALUABLE BOOKS -Use a cloth to wipe the book clean before using. Also, if you wish some of your pages might crack or bleed from tear and ink stains it's not bad as long that they are easily cleaned off with water so there is no permanent damage but these may take longer for older books since paper usually breaks down more slowly when heated in this manner than clay does (more on later). I suggest soaking at least an hour depending upon size/hardness & temperature prior drying time first taking care NOT prying apart any fragile parts like cork etc.
